THE JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS OF THE 200th ANNIVERSARY OF PAWEŁ BRYLIŃSKI'S BIRTHDAY (21.06.1814 - 18.04.1890)
SOKOLNIKI - The exhibition of the photographs and sculptures, the presentation of the coverage of Paweł Bryliński and the lecture
The solemn celebrations of the 200th anniversary of Paweł Bryliński's birthday took place in Sokolniki on 11th June. The event was
organized by Wieruszów Region Branch of the Polish Society of Tourism and Touring [Pl. PTTK] as part of 22nd Wieruszów Days
and Wieruszów District Holiday.
The anniversary celebrations were preceded by a mass celebrated by Fr. Kazimierz Wawrzyniak in St. Nicholas parish in Sokolniki. The participants could
listen to the story about the Master from Masanów presented by Ewa Chmielewska there.
After the mass all the guests, who were invited to the ceremony, went to the building of the Commune Centre of Culture, Sport and Tourism [Pl. GOKSiT]
in Sokolniki where the students of John Paul II Lower Secondary School in Sokolniki presented a verbal and musical performance referring to the life and works of Paweł Bryliński.
In the room of the Commune Centre of Culture, Sport and Tourism Ewa and Michał Chmielewscy installed the exhibition of the photographs by Ewa Chmielewska which presented
the sculptures of Paweł Bryliński and his biography. The original sculptures presented there and stories about their fate told by Michał Chmielewski enjoyed a great interest.
There was also a multimedia presentation of the sculptures on the trail of Paweł Bryliński and a cinematic reportage in which Ewa Chmielewska tells about the life and works
of Paweł Bryliński.
The Wieruszów Region Branch of the Polish Society of Tourism and Touring and the Ostrów Wielkopolski Branch of the Polish Society of Tourism and Touring together with
the Touring Committee of the Board of the Main Polish Tourist and Touring Society established a regional Paweł Bryliński badge.
